Supermarket Worker Shuffles Onstage But His Rendition Of “West Side Story” Leaves Judges Begging For More.

Many of us just settle for whatever’s most comfortable and stable or requires the least effort. But sometimes those bold voices in your head get too loud to ignore, and that’s when people change their majors in college from nursing to theater arts, or ditch a stable career in sales to focus on music.

Ronan Busfield works at supermarket chain Tesco, but his true passion is music. And fortunately for the rest of the world, he listened to those voices when he grabbed his chance to audition on “Britain’s Got Talent.â€

“I feel like this has been building and building up inside of me for years and years and I’ve been pushing it down and trying to ignore it and finally the day has arrived,”he said just before launching into a truly impressive, operatic rendition of “Maria”from “West Side Story.â€

His performance was mind blowing.

To say the judges were “impressed”would be the understatement of the year. And just look at the reaction from the audience!

“Someone won’t be going back to Tesco!”David Walliams calls out above the cheers.

Amanda Holden wholeheartedly agreed, saying, “Ronan, I just love it when we have people like you who literally shuffle on and then they have a voice like that … It was so rich and it’s such a massive song. It’s fantastic.â€

It’s been an incredible journey so far, I really hope that it’s set to continue!

Ronan actually used to sing professionally, but stopped years earlier after a series of life-changing events, including the birth of his son.

Now Ronan’s taking it up again, because he wants to serve as a role model to his young son and any other children that may follow, showing that simply by auditioning, he took the first step toward achieving his life-long dream.
