A student band from South Africa delivered a flawless performance featuring several classical pieces. However, the concert had a twist: all of the songs were recreated using only marimbas! At one of Education Africa’s International Marimba and Steelpan Festivals, the Goede Hoop marimba band performed Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and “Four Seasons.” Students put on quite a show for their audience, dancing to the beat as they played their instruments.
“The beaming smiles of these outstanding young players show the everlasting freshness of Vivaldi’s Baroque works and the power of music to bring joy to us all,” Classic FM wrote of the footage, originally shared by Education Africa.
