A Cappella Group Performs Andrews Sisters Medley That Brings The 1940s To Life.

In the 1940s, no musical group could rival the Andrews Sisters. We know because whenever we think about World War II-era music, songs like “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree (With Anyone Else but Me)” come to mind.

What made the three siblings so unique were their incredible harmonies. That’s why it takes a very talented group of musicians to do justice to their specific style today – a challenge Voctave was definitely up for!

Voctave is an 11-person a cappella group that began in Florida in 2015. Because of their stunning voices, they’ve done incredibly well in the industry and have performed at venues all around the world.

So during the fall of 2019, they released an album called “Somewhere There’s Music.” In it, they feature several classic songs like “My Funny Valentine,” “Moon River,” and even “Won’t You Be My Neighbor.”

Since they were already covering so many fun hits, it only seemed right to include the Andrews Sisters in the mix. Of course, choosing just one of their songs was no easy task, so they opted to do a medley instead.

In a video of their performance, we get to see the breathtaking end result! The tribute track gives us more than three minutes of gorgeous harmonies, upbeat songs, and truly spectacular a cappella skills.

Plus, they add their own spin to the Andrews Sisters thanks to their larger vocal range. All in all, this is one rendition we’ll never forget!
