Man Gives Up 1st-Class Seat To 88-Yr-Old So She Can Fulfill Her Dream.

Putting someone else’s comfort above your own is truly selfless, especially when it relates to airline travel.

Leah Amy, a flight attendant based out of England, sees all kinds of people pass through the first-class cabin, but no one has impressed her quite as much as a kind passenger on a recent flight from New York to Manchester.

After the flight, Leah went on Facebook to share the story of her new favorite passengers, Jack and Violet.

Back in the airport, the two of them had formed an instant connection when their flight was delayed. Violet, an 88-year-old retired nurse, was returning from her annual trip to New York to visit her daughter, which she hadn’t been able to do for some time because of a knee replacement surgery. Wanting her to be comfortable, Jack decided to send her off in style!

So as soon as he got onboard, he found Violet in the economy cabin and gave her his seat in first class. It was a dream come true for Violet, who had always wanted to sit in the front of the plane.

“You should have seen her face when I tucked her in her bed after supper,” Leah wrote. “She said her daughter won’t believe her and wanted a selfie to prove it, but didn’t have a phone or an email address. These photos are getting sent in the post tomorrow. Can you even cope?”

As for Jack, he quietly took his seat beside one of the plane’s bathrooms. According to Leah, he “never made a peep or asked for anything the rest of the flight. No fuss, no attention, literally did it out of the kindness of his own heart. No one asked him to.”

What a wonderful act of kindness! Thanks to one stranger’s desire to bring her joy, Violet got to live out this fun dream of hers. We hope her daughter enjoys the awesome pictures when she gets them in the mail.
