The upside-down cup prank has been circulating on social media lately. Sierra recently set up her husband Zach, and the results are hilarious. It was a perfect setup. First, she filled a mug with water and flipped it upside down using a cutting board. Then the perfect whipped cream topping and the pièce de résistance: a drizzle of chocolate syrup. While making Zach’s, she also made one for herself, right-side-up, of course.

Zach and Sierra Laskowski are parents to two children, a young daughter and an infant son. They work from home, running their consulting firm, Laskowski Creative. When they aren’t working, they are busy creating couples and parenting videos for social media. Sierra thought it would be fun to do the upside-down cup prank on Zach.
When Zach enters the room, Sierra introduces the prank as the “Hot Chocolate Challenge.” She tells him the goal is to drink the hot cocoa as fast as possible. To start, she counts, “One. Two. Three.”
Zach leaned down to begin drinking as soon as his cup left the counter. When he picked it up, the trapped water spilled out of the bottom, and he had a sloppy whipped cream mustache. The realization that he’d been a victim of the upside-down cup prank was immediate. He asked Sierra if he had won while spitting whipped cream all over the place.
Sierra was laughing so hard at this point that she had to set her cup down.
