Two of the most hilarious men on the planet are about to share a grandchild, guaranteeing the world’s about to get a lot funnier. Jasmine Lawrence, daughter of Martin Lawrence, and Eric Martin, son of the legendary Eddie Murphy, married last spring, and now they’re expecting a brand new bundle of joy. The darling couple share the news in a recent Instagram post featuring Jasmin’s growing belly.

“Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift,” the momma-to-be wrote.
In one shot, we see Eric’s head on Jasmine’s belly just soaking in all of that special time. It’s such a sweet shot.
Eric Murphy and Jasmine Lawrence Brought Together Two Funny Families
Eddie Murphy told E! News that Eric Murphy and Jasmine Lawrence had a long-term relationship before getting married.
“They were together for a couple years, so she already had been in the family,” Eddie said in July 2025. “There hasn’t been a party yet. They were gonna have a big wedding, then they went off and did a little thing.”
Eddie also touched on being a grandfather again.
“I’m never pushing them,” he said. “I think it’s a beautiful blessing and whenever it happens, it happens.”
Well, now that it’s happening, we’re sure Eddie is pretty darn excited. Jasmine and Eric’s followers certainly are. They shared well-wishes for the couple in the comments.
