A woman named Roze shared a story on TikTok about a recent interaction at Trader Joe’s that changed her day in a profoundly positive way. Roze explained that she was heading back to work the following day after taking a leave of absence. She felt apprehensive about the return and shared that information with Tim, her checker at Trader Joe’s, during a casual conversation.

“I went to go check out, and Tim said, how’s how are you? And I hesitated, and I was like, I’m good. I’m gonna be good and kind of just told him about going to work tomorrow,” Roze explained. “We’re done checking out, and he was like, ‘I’ll be right back; just hang on a second.’ I was just like, ‘Okay.’”

Roze Expected Nothing from the Trader Joe’s Employee
She said that when she went into Trader Joe’s for groceries, she never anticipated an employee to go the extra step the way that Tim did. When he returned, Tim had a gift for Roze.
“He comes walking back up with these flowers and chocolates,” she said. “I started bawling my eyes out because he didn’t have to.”
Tim and Roze hugged, and she left the store. She was so overwhelmed by the kindness of a Trader Joe’s employee, a total stranger, who wanted to show her love. Roze thanked Tim for his love at the moment she needed it most.
“I wanted to say just thank you to Tim at the Trader Joe’s in Bloomington. Thank you so much,” Roze said through tears. “When I go to work tomorrow, I’ll think of these flowers, and I’ll bring some chocolates and just think about how I’m gonna be okay. That’s it.”
