The Nashville Palace in Tennessee has seen more than its fair share of talented musicians and dancers over the years. Located right across the street from the legendary Grand Ole Opry, the live music venue has hosted notable country stars like Randy Travis, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Alan Jackson. In a video that’s going viral across the web, another living legend took to the dance floor to stun and delight everyone lucky enough to be in the honky tonk that day!
In the clip, 67-year-old Tommy Jackson performs an incredibly energetic and unique clog dance while a live band jams behind him. Tommy is no stranger to the scene — he’s the founder and leader of the long-running Rocky Top Review, a clogging dance troupe that is training the next generation. Many of his students have gone on to join the Grand Ole Opry Square Dancers. In 2017, Tommy was even inducted into America’s Clogging Hall of Fame, and we can definitely see why!
Watch Tommy put dancers everywhere to shame in the video below, and don’t forget to share this story.
