Giving birth is one of the most painful experiences any human being can go through. But for anyone who chooses to do so, it’s more than worth it, of course! While there’s not a whole lot that can be done to ease the pain of childbirth, medical professional and loved ones sure do try their best to help. And so the interpretive dance trend was born, giving husbands everywhere the chance to show off their best moves.

In case you aren’t aware, the interpretive dance trend has people, often husbands, performing silly dance moves for their wives. In doing so, they’re at least a little distracted from the pain of contractions. Wasan Alobeidi’s husband gave a particularly stellar performance, as seen in the viral video below.

“I’m not sure what it was,” Wasan admits of her husband’s so-called interpretive dance, “but it was entertaining for sure!”
There’s a lot to love about his take on an interpretive dance, including the fact that he’s wearing Crocs in “sports mode.” We’d be remiss to not highlight a few other entertaining husbands. Up next, we’ve got Alyssa Fluellen’s husband.

Whoa, a cartwheel and everything? Talk about going the extra mile for your wife! It’s no wonder Alyssa was fully entertained by her husband’s hilarious moves. I do wonder what it would have been like if a nurse had walked in at that very moment…

Finally, we have Rachel Mac’s significant other. His version of an interpretive dance was so funny, she admits in the caption that it “made me pee in the hospital bed.” No one is surprised.
“He danced like he was practicing for this moment his whole life,” one commenter points out. Another adds, “If this is the energy he’s bringing into fatherhood, he’s gonna be a great dad.”
