Little Girl Is So Excited When Mom Gifts Her Granny Panties

We’ve all received terrible gifts in our lives…

You’re probably thinking of one, in particular, right now. Maybe it was a cheesy holiday sweater, or socks (again); perhaps as a kid, it was a toy – but not the one you’d asked for. Odds are, you either tried to act grateful or maybe if you were young, you had a full-on tantrum. A few years back, Jessi Griffin tried to give her daughter a bad gift, but it didn’t work out quite like you’d expect.

Jessi wrote that her daughter loves “every gift she has ever received,” so with that in mind, she decided to try to give her a terrible present – just to see if it would elicit a different reaction from the grateful girl.

It wasn’t for any special occasion, despite what the gift bag says, so her daughter was understandably excited about this “just because” gift.

As she carefully pulls out the tissue paper, she reveals her surprise gift saying, “Oh my gosh, this is beautiful!”

What could it possibly be? A dress, maybe? Perhaps some jewelry? Nope.

She shows off a new pair of beautiful granny panties!

Yep, this little girl was ecstatic for oversized “pants,” as she called them. “I like it,” she says. And if her reaction isn’t the cutest thing in the world, the fact that as she gushes over her gift, she picks up all the tissue paper and puts it back into the bag is even more adorable!

She pulls them over her head and wears them like a necklace, then tells Mom, “These are so beautiful; this is the most special present I ever got from you.”

We’re officially in love with this cutie.

And commenters agree! One said it was “probably the cutest video I’ve ever seen!” They are universally impressed with this sweet girl’s pure and innocent reaction, considering so many of us at that age would’ve thrown a fit. They also give Jessi and her parenting style two thumbs up, saying she must be modeling the right behavior and manners for her daughter:

And if you’re worried that she didn’t get a real gift, Mom says that she did actually give her a good gift after.

Adults can learn a lot from kids, and this short video is a teachable moment for us all when it comes to being thankful when gifts are given from the heart.
