In 2021, now-17-year-old Keren Montero won the top prize in “Dominicana’s Got Talent,” catapulting her to stardom in her home country of the Dominican Republic. Now, she’s ready to take on an even bigger stage by appearing on “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars!”
For her audition, the singer appeared on stage dressed less like an emerging pop star and more like she was on her way to church, and she admitted to judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum that she was very nervous. Yet the moment she opened her mouth, she took charge of the room with her surprisingly powerful voice.
After belting out a stirring version of “Rescue” by Lauren Daigle, all three judges had words of praise an encouragement for the young singer.
“Y’know what?” said Heidi. “I think you gave yourself a real shot just then in this competition. I really do. You have such a powerful and beautiful voice. You sound amazing.”
