This Orphaned Baby Being Raised At The Maryland Zoo Is Otterly Precious.

This adorable baby otter had to be taught how to eat.

When a month-old baby otter was found orphaned and alone, park rangers were quick to seek out the best available care. They took her to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, a nonprofit wildlife organization. There, vets were more than happy to take over, raising the adorable otter as if she were their own. Zoo staff frequently posts updates on the sweet pup’s progress on Facebook!

It hasn’t necessarily been easy to care for an otter abandoned at such a young age. Vets had to teach her many basic abilities, such as how to swim and feed herself. One video online even shows the baby towel-drying herself after a dip in the water! All in all, it looks like this orphaned pup is doing pretty well.
