You’ve heard of birdwatching, but what happens when the birds start to watch back? In this nature video, a Kookaburra seems to figure out that they’re on camera, looking right into the lens. However, it doesn’t seem to bother the bird, who turns away after closely inspecting the device. The resulting footage of the bird’s inquisitive face is just too cute for words!
Richard Lee, who filmed the bird, uploaded the video to his YouTube channel where it’s been getting lots of attention.
“He looks so sweet and fluffy like he could be a plushie,” wrote one commenter. “The Kookaburra is very cute.”
Another said, “His reaction when he realizes you are making a video of him is absolutely priceless! What a cute little soul.”
