Physical therapist Dr. Darin Trees has a new patient: a sweet fawn named Beau. At his wildlife rehabilitation center in Texas, Darin has been helping the baby deer get around. Beau has an antalgic gait, otherwise known as a limp, according to WebMD. The therapist has been using a swimming pool to exercise the baby deer’s legs without putting too much pressure on them.
Recently, Darin posted a video of Beau’s fitness routine on TikTok. He shared footage of the fawn walking with difficulty, then demonstrated some of the pool activities that are helping the little guy get stronger. Storyful (via Yahoo! Sports) tells us that Darin is working with his wife, Lindsay Trees, to treat Beau.
“Beau was delt a bad hand in life but he’s a strong boy and has determination,” wrote Darin in the caption.
