When you become close to someone, it’s like the two of you develop you develop your own special language. Certain phrases or gestures that wouldn’t mean a thing to anyone else can mean the world to you. It’s special details and moments like these that stay with us in our hearts, no matter if the person we love is still with us or not. For Haley Gamez, this includes a routine she and her grandpa (or Guywa, as she’d call him) had whenever it was time for them to part ways.
As her car would pull away, Guywa would make his way outside, adorably running alongside them as he shouted out kind words and “goodbyes.” She began to share these moments on TikTok, and folks fell in love with him. Although Guywa passed away in 2022, Haley couldn’t be more grateful for all the cherished memories she has with him. Keep scrolling to watch their precious farewell routine.
