Toddler Refuses To Leave Home Without New Best Friend, A 5-Ft-Tall Skeleton.

Any parent can tell you that there’s no end to the strange items your child might become attached to as they’re growing up. Whether it’s a well-worn security blanket or a t-shirt they won’t take off, kids just have a way of loving what they love with zero shame.

Salt Lake City, Utah mom Abigail Brady’s son Theo recently became attached to a strange object they had in their basement. Now the internet can’t stop giggling over his odd choice of best friends!

Your eyes do not deceive you; that is indeed a 5-foot-tall model skeleton! After their basement flooded, Abigail was cleaning some things out when Theo discovered the Halloween decoration lurking in a corner. When she discovered her son struggling to carry the skeleton up the basement stairs she burst out laughing.

Abigail let Theo keep the skeleton upstairs, but when it was time to leave for a planned outing to the local reservoir the child wasn’t about to leave “Benny” behind. Rather than fight about it, Abigail just went with it and strapped Benny into the car to come to the beach with them!

“I was like, ‘This is going to be fun. We’ll just bring the skeleton with us and it’ll be a party.’” Abigail told TODAY. “Ever since then, the skeleton’s been coming everywhere with us.â€

Benny now accompanies the family on errands like going grocery shopping, swimming, watching movies, and goofing around at the playground.

Abigail shares their adventures on her social media pages, and it didn’t take long before Benny and Theo became a huge hit online. Now thousands of followers wait patiently for more cute adventures from this unlikely pair of BFFs, and Abigail says she’s thrilled to be putting some joy out into the world.

“2020 has been probably one of the craziest years in a while and I know it has brought a lot of people a lot of turmoil and a lot of hardship,”she said. “My hope is that this can just spread some happiness. Even if it makes someone’s day for a couple of minutes, that makes me so happy.â€
