Royal Family Holiday

The royal family is currently on holiday, enjoying the last bits of summer. “Today, on the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of all who served. Today, we especially think of those British and Commonwealth troops who fought in the Asia-Pacific. We owe an enduring debt to the generation who gave so much, and to whom we will always be grateful. Lest we forget. W & C,” the pair shared on X.

Many Appreciated The Royal Family’s Post While On Holiday

Fans of the Royal Family thanked Kate and William for taking time during their holiday to acknowledge such an important day in their country’s history.

“When I was a very young student nurse. Hospital training. I cared for a gentleman who had been the youngest prisoner at Changi. He still had nightmares. He survived of sorts. As he had lost both of his legs & had been suffering with a myriad of health issues since. He had lied about his age to enlist, as many teenagers did .. We indeed owe them a debt of gratitude and should not let their sacrifices be for nothing. And we must understand that complacency can also bring danger,” someone shared.

“An appropriate, succinct and very appreciative message,” another person wrote.

“Beautifully said! Lest we forget,” a comment reads.

“A generation I have always admired and looked up to,” someone shared. “Thank you for this.”
