Sometimes the best proposals are the most imperfect. NFL star George Kittle just shared the story of how he proposed to his wife, Claire. Boy, were there some snags!
Like many proposals, this one started with a bit of a fib. George told Claire that the 46ers were doing a couples shoot for the entire team, so they’d need to pick a spot and take some photographs.
The couple headed south of Santa Cruz for their photoshoot, and things were lining up: with one key exception.
The day before, George injured himself in quite a few ways during one single play of a game! He sprained his MCL and dislocated his shoulder!
But George had plans, and he intended to see them through.
Once on the beach, the photographer told Claire that they’d be taking solo pictures of her. At that moment, George took a knee.
Ouch!
“I’m literally on one knee for like, thirty seconds… Please turn around,” he was thinking.
Finally, Claire turned around, and the rest is history.
She responded with a resounding “Yes,” and the two are clearly still madly in love.
