In July, Allyson Jean was told that she has Stage 4 Burkitt lymphoma, a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. At this point, it was already aggressive, meaning she would need to undergo several rounds of chemotherapy. If you’ve ever gone through cancer treatment, or know someone who has, then you understand the difficulty of this process, both physically and emotionally.

But that’s exactly what 25-year-old Allyson has been doing for the past four months. And through it all, she’s had her loved ones by her side for support, including her mom. That’s why, when Allyson learned that her cancer is going away, she had to tell Mom right away!
“This is such good news!” Mom exclaimed while Allyson sobbed. “I have been praying so much! All I think about, literally every day, is about you.”
Allyson has been sharing her cancer journey on TikTok, in part to raise awareness of cancer in young adults, prompting her to share this moment as well.
“This video was so hard for me to make and share with the world,” Allyson wrote. “It’s so emotional and so raw, but it also brings me so much peace. This has been the hardest thing I have ever had to go through, but moments like these make life worth living for.”
