Twelve years is a long time to be away from your family and friends.
When a judge sentenced Zoski Brilla to over a decade in prison, the young man said goodbye to his freedoms and put his dreams on hold. His partner had their baby boy while he was locked up, so he never got a chance to help raise him. Zoski says his faith in god helped him get through this difficult time, and he emerged from prison in February 2022 a changed man.
In a video, we see Zoski waiting to meet his son for the very first time in his life. He’s visibly nervous, and when his son’s name is called over the P.A. system he starts shaking and clutching his stomach out of anxiety. When his son appears, the two circle one another warily before the boy steps into his dad’s arms so they can share their first embrace.
What a huge first step! We can only imagine how nervous they both must have been, and we wish them both well as they get to know one another.
