Teacher’s Hilarious Attempts At Deciphering Student Emails Has Class Cracking Up

From the perspective of a student, a teacher stands at the front of a classroom. He talks as he points to something being projected onto a screen

Being a teacher means staying up-to-date on the latest Internet lingo. Well, teachers try their best, anyway. Because, let’s face it, that stuff can become increasingly difficult to keep up as the year pass. But this certainly isn’t anything new. Each generation has their own way of speaking, and it’s honestly pretty great, if you think about it. But with social media being so prevalent, in some ways, keeping up with ever-changing slang has become even more difficult.

Although we can look up the meaning of words in an instant, the words being used change far faster nowadays. This can be seen in the emails one teacher, Larry Lexicon, gets all the time. In fact, some of his emails are so confusing, he chose to share them with the class — all in good fun, of course! Check out this hilarious moment in the video below.

For many of these emails, so much slang is used, Larry can’t even figure out what’s being said. Best of all, the same can be said about many of the folks who watched this video — and there are millions of them!

“‘Whaddup lil spoon’ is my new catchphrase and how I shall address everyone from now on,” someone jokes in the comment section of the viral video, with another adding, “Between this video and the classroom posters I just know he’s the cool teacher.”

These Student Emails Are So Full of Slang, Their Teacher Doesn’t Even Know What They Say!

“Why are they sending emails EXACTLY how they speak?!” an insightful person asks. “Teenagers are great.”

It’s nice to see that Larry and his students can have fun poking fun at each other. Now, if only Larry could get to the point where he can write one of these slang-filled emails himself… maybe one day! His students can only hope.
