Woman Nurses Abandoned Pit Bull Back To Health And Her Transformation Is Amazing.

When Tara first met her foster dog Daenerys, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

While she doesn’t know how long it had been since the pup’s previous owners abandoned her inside an apartment, there’s no doubt Tara arrived just in time. The sweet pit bull weighed 25 pounds and was clearly knocking at death’s door. But even in her condition, she was full of love for everyone around her.

Someone had stopped by to change the locks when they found the poor pup. They immediately contacted Tara and ultimately saved Daenerys’ life. After freeing Daenerys from her prison, Tara got straight to work on nursing her back to health.

One thing she noticed right away was the dog’s obvious desire to be loved.

“She did not seem scared at all of any of us,” Tara said. “She never growled. Never backed away. Never shied away. She would even lean in for a scratch.”

Because Daenerys was so weak, she barely moved at first, but a few days later, she was playing!

Week by week, she slowly gained weight, and her personality began shining through. She developed an adorable obsession with stuffed animals…

…and thanked her foster mom for saving her with kisses and cuddles!

Even though Daenerys is about 7, she isn’t too old to have plenty of new experiences!

Tara wasn’t sure if Daenerys got to enjoy outdoor adventures in her previous life, so she took her to a local lake. When they arrived, the overjoyed dog went nuts in the best way! After splashing up a storm, the furry “shark” had a blast biting at the water.

“It just made me so happy,” Tara said. “It was like her really being a dog for the first time.”

After everything she’s been through, Daenerys is finally ready for her forever family.

Anyone who is interested in adopting her can submit an application to the Phoenix-based rescue BB’s Honor. We’re sure it’s only a matter of time until a lucky family snatches her up! After all, who wouldn’t want to bring this cutie home?

First off, thank you so much @scoobymonica @monicawaynephotography for lending your time and talent to help us get some absolutely stunning photos of Daenerys! I love you and @communitycanineproject & being a part of such a selfless community. Daenerys was featured on @thedodo today! I’m hoping to see some applications come into @bbshonorallbreeddogrescue for this beautiful girl! She is 8 years old, but so full of life and spunk, you would honestly never guess! She needs to be the only pet (yes, we’ve tried. It’s a no-go. The only slim possibility is another dog her size who is non reactive, and that’s if the adopter is willing to continue with the free sessions via @jdspowerhousek9bootcamp where she spent 8 weeks in board and train). The rescue is willing to adopt out to California if she’s a perfect fit, only because I continuously travel there and would be able to check in/ do home checks, etc.. Daenerys loves all people, but y’all.. she’s strong as hell 🤣 you have to be able to handle a little crazy bubble of energy in your life. She’s perfectly kennel trained, potty trained, sweet, and quirky. Many people have been involved in her care, and she’s stolen the hearts of many. She just needs her perfect home. If you think that’s you, please fill out an application through @bbshonorallbreeddogrescue link is in my IG bio. Thanks for loving our girl! And sharing! She’s waited far too long for her dream home! Xoxo PS. The Humane Society is still pursuing a legal case against her previous owners. I cannot discuss details but it is happening, it’s just an extremely slow process. #adoptdaenerys #fosteringsaveslives #bbshonor #arizona
