Every single life matters, human or not. That’s why police officers in Barranca, Peru, took action when a pigeon’s life was in danger.
When several residents in a neighborhood noticed a helpless bird dangling from a string on a power line, they called the authorities, who were more than happy to help. Since the bird was far too high up for them to reach, they attached a utility knife to a drone and carefully cut the line.
The frightened bird immediately tried to fly away, but they quickly captured her so they could cut the remaining string off her feet. She seemed healthy enough, but just to be safe, she’ll be monitored and taken care of at an animal rehab until they’re sure she’s ready to be set free.
