The fan-favorite, also known as the Grande Crunchwrap, is making its resurgence after a five-year hiatus. It was first introduced in 2016 and made yearly returns for a stretch, but the last time Taco Bell added it to the menu was in 2021.
The massive hand-held meal includes layers of seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, and crunchy tostada shells, and it’s wrapped tightly in a grilled tortilla. It’s basically the staple Crunchwrap Supreme, but on steroids.
The Triple Double Crunchwrap hit stores nationwide today, April 16th, and is selling for only $6.49. You can also get it with the $9 Discovery Luxe Box that also includes a Doritos Locos Taco, Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium fountain drink.
The Triple Double Crunchwrap is Taco Bell’s Most ‘Fan-Demanded’ Menu Item
The re-release comes after years of being the most “fan-demanded” item in recent history, according to a press release with Food & Wine. Why Taco Bell stopped offering the Triple Double Crunchwrap for so long, we’ll never know. But this most recent return just happens to be one year after fan’s celebrated the 20-year anniversary of its smaller version.
“The Crunchwrap encapsulates the best of Taco Bell innovation, delivering everything fans love, from bold flavors, layered textures, and peak portability in an iconic form,” chief marketing officer Luis Restrepo told Food & Wine. “What began as a simple insight into the growing demand for food on the go has since become a cult classic, giving us the runway to surprise and delight fans with new innovations, flavors, and experiences, because the Crunchwrap is truly in a category of its own.”
As of now, we don’t know how long the Triple Double Crunchwrap will remain on the menu. So make sure you get your fill before it’s too late.
