The best parents are the ones who truly revel in their children’s success. Last week, Dr. T-Shaka Coverson, the principal at McMurray Middle School in Nashville, Tennessee, was awakened from a nap by his 12-year-old son Kaiden for some incredible news. “Dad, I made the team,” the boy whispered. His wife Monica clarified, “He made the middle school basketball team.”
In a video, we see that as soon as the news fully hits him, T-Shaka leaps out of bed and chases after Kaiden to smother him with hugs and kisses. Monica giggles and follows them all the way upstairs into Kaiden’s room, where T-Shaka continues to celebrate with him. To make it even more exciting, it happens to be Kaiden’s birthday too!
We just love seeing how excited this dad is over his son’s achievement. With support like this at home, there’s nothing Kaiden can’t accomplish! Watch T-Shaka’s wonderful reaction in the video below, and don’t forget to share this story to brighten someone’s day.
