This Grandma Busting A Move To “Sweet Dreams” In Public Will Make Your Week.

When you get to be a certain age, worrying about what other people think of you often goes out the window.

If you’re fortunate enough to live into your 80s, you tend to spend less time concerned with keeping up appearances. At this age, you’ve earned the right to eat what you want to eat, say what you want to say, and dance whenever, and wherever, you feel like it.

In a video that is swiftly going viral around the web, we meet just such a grandmother. The unknown lady looks like any other granny who’s watching her grandchild’s sporting event; she’s got the standard-issue chunky white sneakers, a pair of perfectly-coordinated pink pants, and a cute little knit beanie on her head.

The only difference between this lady and the countless other grandmothers you’ve seen on the sidelines of youth sporting events is that this lady loves to dance… and she’s not afraid to show it!

The song “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” by the Eurythmics is playing in the background, and this is clearly granny’s jam because she’s busting out her best hip hop dance moves, right there on the sidelines. Granny’s got a little bit of a “robot” thing going on, and we can’t help to think that this lady has been popping and locking since before it was cool. She even does a casual version of a moonwalk at one point!

All around her people seem oblivious to how epic her moves really are, which is surprising because this is definitely not something you see everyday.

Way to go, granny! This is the sort of video that gives us all hope for the future. It also reminds us to keep on moving and exercising as we get older, because when we are old and hear our favorite pop song on the PA system, we need to be ready.

Watch grandma dance like no one’s watching below, and be sure to share to spread the joy!
