“My Dad Watching Me Take Off On My First Day At My Dream Job”

Chasing your dreams is something not everyone has the opportunity to do. Keira Rose Underwood’s dream was to fly. She aspired to join the flight crew of a major airline carrier. Her dad, supportive all the way, encouraged her to reach for the sky and chase those dreams. When Keira finished her training and was scheduled on her first flight, her dad was right there, filming from a viewing area on the ground.

Keira works with EasyJet UK. This low-cost airline flies out of London Luton Airport with service to more than 34 countries. Cabin crew take care of the passengers during flights. It is a customer service position with high job satisfaction.

Job requirements vary with each airline, but some general guidelines apply to all transport companies. Training is required and is often provided through the airline or via an independent instruction class approved by the airline. Height requirements may vary with airline policies. The age requirement is usually 18, but some airlines might require a higher age for alcohol service. There are some physical fitness requirements and possibly swimming requirements.

Keira met all the requirements and passed all the training. Behind her every step of the way was her supportive dad and biggest cheerleader. No wonder she is smiling so much. She is embarking on the first flight of her dream job as a part of the cabin crew. As the airplane lifts into the sky, her dad is on the ground filming the takeoff.
