That’s why she invited other parents to share the “most absurd” stuff they’ve ever told their toddler to help “keep the peace.” For example, she has told her kids on many occasions that, sadly, the park is “closed,” so they cannot visit that day. Another parent uses a similar method when it comes to television.

When you’re a toddler, you’re much more likely to believe just about anything your parent tells you. This leaves parents with a power of sorts that must be used wisely. For example, what’s the harm in getting your kids to brush their teeth?
