“What was your best experience being recognized now by an older fan?” the moderator asked.

Steve had an answer right away, and it totally caught everyone by surprise. Apparently, the actor was signing autographs at a fan convention in Pittsburgh when someone approached him with an unexpected question.

“Do you recognize me?” the stranger asked.

When Steve replied that he didn’t, the Blue’s Clues fan handed him a photo. That’s when the actor realized that he’d met this guy before — through Make-A-Wish.

“I made it, Steve,” the now grown-up recipient said to him.

Now, we all have one more reason to love Steve Burns.

As the star finished telling his story, everyone was blown away by this heartwarming moment. Audience members uttered a collective, “Aww,” when the tale came to its happy ending. According to Steve, he’d wept during the encounter.

“Now we’re friends on Insta,” he added.

This precious video has received two million views. Blue’s Clues fans in the comments were absolutely floored by Steve’s beautiful story. Even Make-A-Wish had something to say on the post!

“Thanks for granting life-changing wishes, Steve,” they wrote. “So glad he got to see you again.”

They say not to meet your heroes, but this apparently doesn’t apply to Steve from Blue’s Clues! It’s so touching to hear how much this fan interaction meant to him (and vice versa).
