On October 16, Trooper Mathieu was called to assist an unresponsive 1-year-old child. Once he arrived on the scene, he jumped out of his car and quickly leaped into action. Someone handed him an anti-choking device, and together, they worked to revive the little girl.
Using his first aid training, Mathieu performed a series of back blows to dislodge whatever was obstructing her airways. He arrived just in time because, mere seconds later, this precious baby girl was conscious again. Needless to say, her family couldn’t be more grateful for the two Good Samaritans who saved their daughter’s life!
