Star-Spangled Audition: Army Chorus Dedicates “AGT” Performance To Fallen Soldier.

The 82nd Airborne Chorus performing on "America's Got Talent"

When the 82nd Airborne Chorus marched onto the “America’s Got Talent” stage, the judges and audience alike had no idea what to expect. The serious tone of their entry soon faded, however, as they introduced themselves. Although this particular group is from North Carolina, they proudly shared that they’re here to “represent the 19,000 men and women that support and serve the Airborne Division.”

Their performance of “My Girl” by The Temptations put a smile on everyone’s faces. Folks danced along as their beautiful harmonies filled the air. Toward the end, one man in particular stood out with an impressive high note – one that he held out until the song was complete. As much as this performance was for the many Airborne Division soldiers, they also had one particular person in mind that they hoped to honor.

“We wanted to dedicate this performance,” one of them said. “Last week, we lost one of our soldiers: Specialist Elijah Crawford. So we’re dedicating this performance to him and all of the soldiers that have passed before him.”

It’s safe to say that they certainly did just that.
