There are some America’s Got Talent performers who aim to make the audience as breathless as possible — Sofie Dossie is one of them. She first graced the beloved show’s stage at only 14 years old. Now, at 22, this self-taught contortionist is back for AGT: Fantasy League, and she has Heidi Klum as her mentor.
At 14 years old, Sofie didn’t win the competition. Since then, she’s been back to the AGT stage a few times, but she’s also made a name for herself outside of the show. For example, on YouTube, she has nearly 10 million subscribers. Still, getting the chance to come back to the AGT stage means the world to her.
Competing with some of the best acts in AGT history, Sofie knew she needed to step up her game, sharing with Klum that she planned to “take it to the next level in sense of danger.” As you can imagine, her mentor found this both exciting and nerve-wracking.
Sofie Dossie Includes Lots of Fire in Spectacular Performance
It’s safe to say that Sofie delivered on her promise of a dangerous performance. When she wasn’t hanging from an engulfed ring by her feet or moving her body in impossible ways, all while balancing on her hands, she was using her feet to shoot a flaming arrow!
To say that the judges are impressed by this performance is a massive understatement!
“This is competitive, and I don’t like to give my fellow mentors credit,” Howie Mandel shares, “but if tonight was my Golden Buzzer I would use it on you.”
Based on what Klum does next, it seems as though she takes her fellow mentor’s words to heart — she gives Sofie the Golden Buzzer! Now, she’s going right to the Finals.
“WHAT A NIGHT!” Sofie exclaims in a Facebook post after the show. “I LOVE YOU HEIDI.”
It’s clear that Sofie has come so far since she first appeared on AGT as a young teen. There’s truly no telling where she’ll go from here, but one thing is for sure: It’s going to be one thrilling journey!
