Just like humans, not every dog has a love for snow. A big difference, however, is the fact that we can better predict whether or not a dog will enjoy wintery weather. That’s because there are certain breeds known for having the ability to withstand the cold. Take, for example, this Bernese mountain dog who absolutely refuses to go back inside once there’s snow on the ground. Then there are huskies, a breed that is especially known for their love of snow.

Finally, we have Mimic. This adorable pup is neither a husky or a Bernese mountain dog. Instead, she’s a poodle — and she is quite the fan of snow. This fun fact was rather inconvenient for her own during a snowstorm. No matter how much she tried to get Mimic to come back inside their home, she simply refused. See for yourself in the adorable viral video below!
What makes this video so hilarious isn’t just the fact that there’s snow on the ground. It’s the added fact that it’s so darn windy, it’s hard to believe Mimic’s vision isn’t being impaired by her own fur getting blown into her eyes.
Plus, it’s actively snowing. This, combined with the wind, is the perfect recipe for an uncomfortable time outdoors. And yet, Mimic seems to be having the time of her life!
This Snow Obsessed Poodle Refuses to Go Inside, Much to the Dismay of Her Owner
While Mimic’s owner jokingly reminds her that she isn’t a husky, turns out, there is a reason why this dog is so comfy in this weather. While this might not be widely known, poodles actually are built for the snow. Their dense hair allows them to stay warm, even in frigid weather.
In fact, poodle hair is even naturally water-resistant. This allows them to comfortably play around in the snow for quite some time. How cool is that!?
