Co-parenting isn’t easy, but one couple on YouTube is showing us how it’s done! Single mom Abbey Fickley shared a beautiful story about how her daughter’s dad decided to do something amazing for her on Christmas. It was technically his turn to spend the holiday with their child, but he realized that Abbey needed her more this year. So, he gave up his plans so that mother and daughter could be together. Abbey was brought to tears by his fatherly act of kindness!
“This is the moment I found out I get to wake up with Myla in our new home on Christmas morning” she wrote in her video.
Commenters were so inspired by this amazing coparenting duo. They clearly still care about each other even though they’re no longer together!
“It’s beautiful how even though you have your ups and downs, you’re both there for your daughter,” wrote one user. “And I just know that that means the world to her.”
Another added, “That’s what love looks like. Just because you aren’t in a relationship anymore doesn’t mean you can’t still show each other love.”
