Stranger Sees Struggling Waitress On The News And Rushes To Make Generous Offer.

As the world does its best to manage the novel coronavirus outbreak, more and more people are stepping up to help others in need.

CNN recently ran a story about the effects of COVID-19 and interviewed California resident Shujana Anthony, who wasn’t sure how she was going to pay her rent in April. Not long after, they invited Shujana back to reveal a huge surprise!

Shujana is a waitress who lives in a small apartment that costs about $1,100 a month. Unfortunately, when California issued a stay-at-home order, she suddenly found herself in a stressful situation.

Illinois resident Tami Vaughn saw Shujana’s interview and reached out to CNN.

“I was just moved by what she’s going through,” she told them. Then she offered to pay Shujana’s rent, which the news outlet revealed in a follow-up interview.

In a video of the surprise, it becomes clear that Shujana isn’t sure why she was called in. She explains that she’s making the most of a difficult situation and “can’t sit and be sad.”

The moment the anchor reveals Tami’s incredible act of kindness, the biggest smile appears on Shujana’s face as some weight is taken off her shoulders.

All Tami asked for in return? “Maybe she can pay it forward, even if it’s a year from now, and to whomever she wants. Just spread kindness.” Amazingly, Shujana is already looking for an opportunity!
