She’s Only 12-Years-Old, But The Moment She Started To Sing, I Was Blown Away!

This cover, recorded in 2012 by (then) 12-year-old Billie Marten, is stunning. Billie sings the classic “You Make My Dreams Come True,” originally sung by American duo Hall & Oates, released in 1981. Despite her young age, Billie tackles the song with perfection. Her melody, rhythm and guitar-playing captivates with every note.

It’s from this video of young Billie that she’s a star on the rise. At age 12, she’s just gushing with unbelievable talent! Now, Billie is 17 years old. She’s not limited to just covers anymore, Billie writes her own music, and has already released 1 full album (earlier this yeasr), 2 EPs (in 2014 and 2015), 8 singles (between 2014 and 2016). In 2015, Billie was nominated for the BBC Sound of 2016 award.

Here she is now, in a recent picture:

Clearly, this young artist is going places! And with her beautiful voice, it’s a joy to see her succeed! Since its posting in 2012, video of Billie’s song has been removed. But the audio can be heard below, and it is truly breathtaking. It’s hard to imagine that the soulful voice you’re hearing belongs to this young girl.
