There’s a lot of pressure on a soloist who plays alongside a full orchestra, but Anastasiia Tiurina makes it look easy.
At just 7 years old, she was put in the spotlight with her balalaika while the National Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk played behind her. She must have been a little nervous, but it certainly didn’t show as she perfectly executed the piece – she didn’t even need sheet music!
Best of all, this little girl’s love of music comes through so clearly in the way she performs. Even as she concentrated on playing, she was so expressive and happy. It’s no wonder she was given such an important role – she’s brilliant at what she does and her joy is contagious!
