She’s Back, Baby! Simone Biles Returns To Competitive Gymnastics In Full Force.

Simone Biles gave an incredible performance during the competition.

After taking a breather for the sake of her mental health, Simone Biles is back on the floor and ready to conquer! The Olympic medalist took home first place in the all-around competition in Hoffman Estates, Illinois last weekend. This means that she’ll be heading to the US Championships in San Jose, California next. After her stunning performance, Biles shared a touching post about her return on Instagram.

“Tears of joy as I make this comeback, surrounded by the love you’ve shown! thank you for believing in me,” she wrote in her caption.

Biles is still unsure whether or not she’ll compete in the Paris Olympics 2024. After all, it was during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 that she experienced a mental health crisis known to fellow gymnasts as the “twisties.”

“We’re still in the working steps,” the athlete told ABC7. “My main goal was this and then championships and then after that we’ll look onto world and then we’ll see, but so far it’s heading in the right direction. But I still have to work on myself, I’m still going to do my therapy, I’m still going to put myself first.”

However, Biles’s recent high scores have her in even higher spirits. She says that the support of her fans made all the difference in the world.

“I think what shocked me the most was everyone is so supportive, like in the crowd, all of the girls, all of the signs,” she said, “The amount of outpouring love and support on Twitter, on Instagram and in the arena, which was really shocking and surprising, to me that they all have such belief in me and that they still love me.”

She added, “It just makes my heart warm because it’s nice to come out here and have all that support, especially in a time like this, when I was really nervous to compete again.”
