These are among the questions viewers have been asking over the last few days, ever since a short video popped up on the Shanghaiist Facebook page showing a grandpa fluidly matching his granddaughter’s every move at an as-yet undisclosed location in China.
The video has been viewed more than 33 million times since it was first posted.

In the roughly one-minute video, a girl starts dancing in a public park. But what viewers are obsessed with is the moment her grandfather joins in as well.
The granddaughter’s style a bit more flamboyant compared with the older man’s more nuanced style, but together their moves are stunning.

“I just love the smooth movement of the grandpa, as well as the modern version of the girl… shows how beautiful two generations can be combined in a dance like this, especially coming from grandpa and granddaughter … which I find very sweet for both of them to cooperate dancing together in public… the kid is obviously enjoying it, I bet the grandpa, too,”one viewer posted on the Facebook page.
“I would like to see more of this guy and know how he came to dance so [well]. Ok…She is great too…But hey, Grandpa…..[Respect] dude,”wrote another.
