Self-Taught Hip-Hop Dancer Blows Judges Away on “America’s Got Talent.”

Erica weeps for joy after her successful audition.

Erica Coffelt is a newcomer to the art of hip-hop dancing, but you’d never know it from her stellar audition on “America’s Got Talent.” The 36-year-old introduced herself on stage as a “self-taught” dancer before astounding the judges with her routine. By the time she finished, the audience was going wild. This brought the contestant to tears.

“This has always been my dream and I started doing dance to entertain my daughter during COVID and she loved it, and I just kept going,” Erica said.

Sofia Vergara revealed that she was skeptical when she learned that Erica did not have a dancing background. However, she admitted that she was floored by the performance. All four judges voted “yes” to advancing the contestant into the next round.

When Erica isn’t working on her killer moves, she’s a speech pathologist at Sky Ranch Middle School in Nevada. According to Reno Gazette Journal, she was hesitant to audition for “America’s Got Talent.” We’re glad she changed her mind!
