Brian Wilson Social Media

Just a week before his death, Brian Wilson took to social media to share a childhood photo. Brian founded the legendary Beach Boys in 1961 with his brothers Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson. The three boys brought in their cousin Mike Love and their friend Al Jardine. But the Wilson brothers brought a special magic to the band, and Brian knew it. He was grateful to those boys who helped him make his dream an incredibly successful career. He shared their photo and reminisced about how the Wilson Boys became one of the biggest-selling bands ever.

Brian Wilson Was Incredibly Proud Of His Family

Brian Wilson wrote a loving caption dedicated to his brothers on Instagram.

“My brothers Carl and Dennis and I used to sing three-part harmony in our room when we were kids. Songs like ‘Come down, come down/From your ivory tower.’ ‘In My Room’ was a song that I taught them to sing, and it really has the feel of what it was like in our room when we were kids,” he shared next to the photo of three fresh-faced kids.

Brian Wilson was the last remaining Wilson brother. Dennis tragically drowned in 1982, and Carl died from lung cancer in 1998. With the announcement of Brian’s passing, fans hope the brothers are now back together, making music in heaven.

“Beautiful brothers together again in Heaven,” a fan shared.

“I grew up in Southern California in the 60s, so of course surf music was the bomb. In my room, always brings tears to my eyes because it reminds me of the memories I have with my brother who sadly passed away several years ago,” a fan reminisced.

“My heart breaks that you didn’t get them for longer, but what great memories and legacy you men created for yourselves,” a fan wrote on Brian Wilson’s post. “The world is grateful you found joy in singing together.”
