In a plea on social media from the Houston/Pearland area, a woman requested help with a stray cat. The cat was on the side of a busy highway on a concrete abutment. She was able to coax the shy cat over to her. It was a stretch to reach the cat, but she finally was able to grab it. She posted the video of the daring cat rescue.

She spoke with an officer at the scene in an attempt to locate the owner. The cat was taken to a shelter by the original poster. Amazingly, the poster works as a shelter volunteer and fosters animals. It was lucky for this little cat that this kind lady was rescued by this kind woman.
With another stroke of luck, the owners of the cat saw the post of the daring rescue online. They immediately recognized their little boy and raced to the shelter. Workers learned that the cat’s name is Miso. He has been out exploring Texas for months. As an indoor cat, his phenomenal pawrents love him very much. They are happy that their little wanderer is home.

Several things worked together to make this successful cat rescue happen. It starts with the cat being on the abutment. He had strayed to the far end where he was visible from the highway. The original poster would never have seen him if he had stayed tucked in next to the highway.
She stopped on the side of a busy highway. She was having trouble reaching the cat, but one final stretch from the woman and the cat allowed her to make the grab. Once she had the animal safe in her arms, the rest was fairly mundane.
