Serbian Man Pulls Over 1000 Dying Dogs Off The Streets And Brings Them Back To Life.

We all love stories about people who care for animals in need, but few of them can compete with Sasha Pesic.

Over the past 10 years, Sasha’s love for dogs has led him to rescue more than 1,100 pups in NiÅ¡, Serbia. He’s able to do so because of Sasha’s Shelter, the unique safe haven he created for them.

The organization’s mission reflects his personal one: Save as many dogs as possible from the worst living conditions. It has taken in many pets that suffered from serious abuse and were left on the verge of death. In fact, the shelter’s typical resident arrives with broken bones, a distrust of humans, and little will to survive.

Despite these daunting odds, Sasha and his team do everything in their power to help their weary companions recover, and most of them do!

Since Sasha’s Shelter opened in 2008, it has helped more than 400 pups find forever homes and cared for about 750 others. While these pets wait for families of their own, the shelter ensures they receive food, veterinary care, play time, and socialization from various caretakers.

As you can imagine, watching over 750 dogs is no easy task! Each one requires about $18 a month to get the care they need, which comes to a daunting total of $13,500. Thankfully, the shelter has managed to collect enough donations to keep its mission alive.

While the shelter is always on the lookout for more sponsors and supporters, its goal never changes: Rescue dogs and find them loving homes. Thank you, Sasha, for dedicating so much effort to saving lives!
