Ryan Reynolds Shares “Sweet” Truth About Taylor Swift

Ryan Reynolds Taylor Swift

She’s the biggest star on the planet right now, but Taylor Swift is a dear friend to some. Her inner circle is small and tight, but Taylor is fiercely loyal to those she lets in. Some of her friendships are so strong, they’re more like family. Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, are among Taylor Swift’s closest pals. They are so close, in fact, the pair made T-Swift their children’s godmother.

Taylor Swift Shared The News In A Tweet About Ryan Reynolds

Last summer, Taylor shared an Instagram shoutout to Ryan celebrating Deadpool and Wolverine, “Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids’ sperm donor!”

Ryan told Deadline, “I’m going to need that on my gravestone, actually,” referring to the post.

He added, “Yeah, that is kind of it. She is the godparent to my daughters,” Ryan said. “That was very sweet. Not just sweet, that was, like, you could probably quantify a box office based on Taylor just doing something like that.”

The relationship between Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Swift, and Blake Lively has certainly blossomed over the years. Blake is extremely supportive of Taylor, cheering on her boyfriend Travis Kelce at the Super Bowl and bringing her girls to see the Eras Tour.

During a show in Madrid, Taylor took time to call out to the girls in the audience. She said, “I have to say that on Folklore, some of my favorite characters are named James, Inez, and Betty.”

Ryan Reynolds is also a not-so-secret fan who caught the Eras Tour while Taylor Swift played in New Orleans. He wrote an incredible dedication to his friend on Instagram that reads in part,

“When I’m 95 yrs old and my wife and kids wheel me outside and into the sun so I can drink a sandwich, I’ll still be talking about seeing this show in New Orleans. Not just because it’s one of the best things I’ve seen/heard/felt. And not only because you see the staggering and positive economic impact this tour has on small businesses all over NOLA — a town that’s been thru so much for so long. The main reason I’ll never forget this show is because it brings people together in so many ways. And in 2024, (where that feeling is scarce as hell) it’s a special and incredibly rare thing.”
