Ryan Gosling Just Made a Florida Bakery Go Viral

Ryan Gosling Bakery

We don’t know about you, but we love to try new things, particularly when it comes to food. When we hear good reviews from people we love and trust, that certainly helps. When a celebrity gives a business a shout-out, it has the power to launch them into uncharted territory. Ryan Gosling recently appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers and mentioned a Florida bakery. Little did the owner know, things were about to get very busy.

“Can I mention her bakery? She owns a bakery in Florida, in Tallahassee, and they make the most incredible Pop-Tarts. You have to order these Popped-Tarts. Donna gives them to you at the beginning of the show, like when you start hosting, so you’re just running on Popped-Tarts,” Ryan said.

Ryan Gosling’s Recommendation Meant Big Things for the Little Bakery

The Cake Shop Bakery owner, Linda Richards, told WCTV she had no idea Ryan Gosling was such a fan or that he’d talk about her on national television.

“I did not know that was coming. It was a total shock. I was blown into another universe,” she said.

Linda said the appearance totally changed her business.

“It’s on fire. The phone rings off the hook. I have thousands of requests,” Linda said.

WCTV stopped by the bakery and spoke to customers about Ryan Gosling’s recommendation.

Ian Osterhaus purchased two of the sweet treats during his visit.

“I heard about these Popped-Tarts. My dad sent me an article. I was like, Tallahassee Popped-Tarts? I need some,” he said with a laugh. “I’m so excited.”

Linda wasn’t surprised Ryan Gosling loved her bakery.

“Everybody has something they want at any bakery, right?” she said. ‘Whether it’s a cookie or a cupcake, or for me it’s monkey pie. It’s just everybody’s thing, and that’s what it is evidently for him,” she said.
