Dad Accidentally Invites 1.2 Million People To Daughter’s Quinceañera, But Has Coolest Response To Mistake.

Remember the time a grandma accidentally invited a stranger to her family’s thanksgiving dinner, and then welcomed him with open arms? How about the time thousands of people showed up to “Pawpaw’s” cookout after a photo of him went viral? Now another invitation is going viral… but this one is the biggest of all!

A dad in Mexico made a video with his wife and daughter, Rubi Ibarra Garcia, inviting friends and family to Rubi’s quinceanera. Dad posted the video on social media and– although it was only meant for a select few– he left the video on the “public” setting. Well, being that the internet is a strange and mysterious place, the video unexpectedly went crazy viral.

People around the world began posting about Rubi’s 15th birthday party, planning to attend the bash outside La Joya, a small town in Mexico with a population of just 10,000. But not just a few, 1.2 million people have RSVP’d “Yes”!

In the video, Rubi’s dad says “Hereby everyone is cordially invited,” but he didn’t mean everyone! At first, he tried to explain, saying the party was intended “only for a select group” and not “all of Mexico,” but eventually he had a change of heart, saying all are welcome to join!

Now that Dad has clarified, it seems everyone is ready to party with Rubi!

One airline is even offering a 30% discount on flights to Mexico for the viral party. The ad reads, “Are you going to Rubi’s 15th?”

And it looks like some folks may actually take advantage of the discount. People from around the world say they’re going to Rubi’s party.

It’s going to be the greatest Quinceañera of all time!

Who else is ready to purchase a ticket to Mexico? Check out the now-viral invitation below.
