Although some sources cite a lifespan of 13 to 20 years, most authorities agree that the average lifespan of a domestic house cat is 13 to 17 years. When your furbaby is turning 20, it’s a special day and worthy of celebration. Since Taylor’s cat, Snart, was there, she planned an extravagant birthday party. There seemed to be no better way than to have a Roaring 20s party.

Snart is a tri-color, or calico kitty. Her original name was Destiny, but it eventually morphed into Snart, although no one is exactly sure how. It might be a reference to Captain Cold from DC Comics. The supervillain’s alias is Leonard Snart. Destiny/Snart doesn’t seem like the supervillain type. No matter how Snart became Snart, it is evident that her family appreciates every extra second they have with her.
The Roaring 20s party was a roaring success. Everyone was in costume, including Snart. Wearing a tiara with flowing feathers and a Flapper beaded shawl. The birthday cake was adorned with a festive array of cat cutouts of Snart at various times throughout her long life. Golden balloon number candles in the center proudly declared “20.”
