The cause of Matthew’s death is presently inconclusive, though police officers were called to his Los Angeles home for a water rescue on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
He appeared in far more than just Friends during his bright and bold acting career. Matthew was in Growing Pains, 17 Again, and even appeared on the well-known political drama, The West Wing.
However, Matthew’s role in Friends won the hearts of millions of viewers during and after its time on air. The sitcom is still one of the best-known programs in the world, and his role as the sarcastic and brash Chandler Bing is relatable and comedic to many.
