Dolly Parton had many friends, and from what we’ve seen since her death, she treated them all with love, kindness, and compassion. Superstar Reese Witherspoon considers herself blessed to have been a part of Dolly’s inner circle. She shared a touching bit of advice the Queen of Country once gave her.

“I count my lucky stars that I called Dolly my friend. When I was playing June Carter Cash in Walk the Line, she took me to dinner and told me stories of how June Carter charmed everyone in country music. Dolly gave me the courage to put my whole spirit into that performance and made me see how lucky I was to be a storyteller. Throughout my entire career, she sent me little notes of encouragement and support, telling me to be the light in people’s lives and listen to my angels. Always signed: “I will always love you,” Reese wrote on Instagram.
Reese Witherspoon Will Love Dolly Parton Forever
Reese Witherspoon closed her tribute to Dolly Parton in a most familiar way.
“Dolly, I miss you already. Your talent, your wisdom and your beautiful spirit lit up our lives. Go soar with your angels…. We will always love you,” she wrote.
Fans loved what Reese had to say, but can hardly believe Dolly is gone.
“I never thought this day would come. Can’t stop crying,” a fan shared.
This person agreed, writing, “My two inspirations in one video as a scientist who struggled so much with being very feminine, thank you for showing me it’s ok to not dim my sparkle.”
Though she may be gone in body, we will never lose Dolly, as this person so eloquently wrote, “Dolly will live on forever. That’s how much of impact she had.”
