Most people are familiar with the cat distribution system. There are a few other cat clichés that are popular among people who own a cat. The first is, “If I fits, I sits,” which refers to a cat’s attraction to cardboard boxes. The second is that if a cat should sit upon the lap of a human, that human cannot move until the cat leaves. It seems that this street cat might be on a mission from CDS and is using that second cat cliché to send a message.

Picture the familiar SpongeBob meme here. “Three days later…”
We’re just kidding, of course. The pedestrian wasn’t stuck under the cat for three days. However, it was evident that she understood that she couldn’t get up with the cat on her lap. We know what the cat was thinking: If lap-shaped, how not lap?
She did finally get up, although we don’t know if she dumped the cat or it finally moved. We still believe this might be an arm of the CDS working overtime. If the pedestrian wasn’t sure on the first day, she received another dose of the same treatment from the street cat the next day when she returned.
Yes, she opted to return to the same place. The street cat was there waiting. She stopped to give it some loving, and the cat made itself at home in the lap that wasn’t a lap. While this does seem like a cat distribution system moment, the pedestrian is hesitant.
The cat does not have a collar, but it appears to be well taken care of. It is probably better to leave the cat there until certain. Maybe someday she’ll find out for sure.
